Army holds facilitation ceremony of students on completion of computer course


Srinagar, 09 Mar 20 (KNS): Army has played a significant role in enriching the education and skill development opportunities available to the youth in Kashmir, statement said.
"It has been a constant endeavor of the Army to achieve the goal of providing ‘Taleem se Tarraqqi’ for the youth. This is also evident by the outstanding results achieved by the students of Army Goodwill Schools, " statement reads.
A statement issued to KNS said, keeping in sync with the several initiatives by the Govt towards provisioning of modern education and empowerment of girls through education, the Army facilitated conduct of a month long Certification Course in ‘Basic Computing and Networking’ for eight girl students. The students were trained on computer
essentials and basics of networking, which would not only broaden their horizon, but also facilitate future employability prospects., Statement said.
"On successful completion of this course, a felicitation ceremony was organised on 09 March 2020 at Tattoo Ground Military Garrison wherein Brigadier Amit Rao felicitated the participants with e-Books

The ceremony was also attended by a large number of civil dignitaries and officers from the Army, JK Police and Paramilitary Forces.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest emphasized the use of technology for better comprehension and assimilation in the educational domain. He urged the students to make best use of the ideal educational ecosystem being provided to them in terms of availability of well qualified teachers and state-of-the-art technology. While interacting with the students, the chief guest highlighted the contribution of youth in nation building and exhorted the students to focus on their studies with an aim to become responsible citizens of the country.
