Srinagar, Feb 16 (KNS): Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik on Thursday said that threats and intimidations have and cannot break the will of nations that have resolved to break the shackles of illegal occupation.
Malik in a statement issued to KNS said that the statement made by Army chief is ‘a case of political immaturity’ and should not be termed but as ‘ridiculous and absurd’.
He said that Indian army chief by issuing these kinds of statements has shown his ‘anti-human attitude and lack of political wisdom’ and this statement amounts to his direct threat to the whole Kashmiri nation.
Malik said, “Threats, intimidations and oppressive measures have and cannot suppress the voices of freedom because if it was so, India of which he is army chief today would not have been among free nations today.”
Terming this statement as ‘an open invitation to many for picking up arms’, Malik said, “Indian Army Chief must realize that he cannot scare a nation that has sacrificed more than a hundred thousand of its men, women, youth and children during ongoing resistance movement.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel”
This statement may add to the miseries of Kashmiris but it will also push many youth to the wall and, drive them towards arms struggle and hence promote violence in this region,” said Malik.
Meanwhile, JKLF paid tributes to Jalil Ahmad shah of Haigam Sopore and others who embraced martyrdom in 15th February 2001.
While paying tributes to Jalil and others, Malik said, “These martyrs sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Jammu Kashmir and today when we are remembering these great sons of soil we pledge to take forward their mission with passion and zeal.” (KNS)
