Arif Liagroo demands release of political prisoners in view of covid surge

Srinagar 10 May (KNS): People's Democratic Party state secretary youth Arif Laigaroo on Monday urged central administration LG governor Manoj Sinha to release all political detainees in view of a massive surge in covid19 cases across India. 

In a statement to Kashmir news service (KNS), Laigroo said that the central government should release all political prisoners as the situation is worsening across India due to an aggressive rise in the covid19 cases. 
The Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the holy festival of Muslims, is also approaching, on the eve of Eid, everyone deserves to be in his family, Laigaroo said. 

Since the reports from many media outlets that the covid19 is also hitting the jails, in this gloomy situation, the Central government should release political prisoners on parole, he added. 

Laigaroo demanded the release of all political prisoners, including the release of Sartaj Madani, Nayeem Akthar, and youth president PDP Waheed-u-Rehman Parra, the statement reads. (KNS)
