Srinagar, August 15 (KNS) : On the occasion of Arbaeen, mourning ceremonies were organised by Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie-Shian across the Valley, where scholars elaborated on the philosophy of Imam Hussain’s martyrdom and various aspects of the Battle of Karbala.
In a statement issued,President Anjuman-e-Sharie-Shian, Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al Safavi, while addressing devotees at the Central Imam Bargah Budgam, said that the unparalleled battle between truth and falsehood on the land of Karbala in 61 AH will live on forever, inspiring humanity to persevere against injustice. He emphasised that Arbaeen Hussaini is a school for the protection and survival of both Islam and humanity.
Reacting to the Supreme Court’s recent observation, Aga Hassan said, “The Supreme Court's reference to the Pahalgam attack in its decision regarding statehood highlights how the Kashmir issue is viewed primarily through a security lens, rather than addressing democratic aspirations. The people of Jammu and Kashmir are rendered invisible, and the region is further militarized. Kashmir remains unheard, unseen, and unresolved.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel” He urged the Government of India to make efforts to address the aspirations of the people.
In Srinagar, Aga Hassan’s deputy, Aga Syed Mujtaba Abbas, while addressing mourners, said, “What saves human beings from serving anyone other than God and leads to salvation in both this world and the hereafter is believing in Tawhid (the indivisible oneness of God in Islam) and striving to fight tyranny and the arrogance of those who serve Satan and act against innate human nature.”
An Arbaeen Zuljana procession was taken out from the tomb of Sarkaar Ayatullah Late Aga Syed Mehdi Al-Mosavi Al Safavi, culminating at Imambara Budgam. Similarly, another Arbaeen Zuljana procession started from Zalidar Mohalla Nigeen and concluded at the historic Imam Bara Hassanabad Rainawari, Srinagar.
Anjuman-e-Sharie-Shian also organised Arbaeen Majlis at various places, including Imam Bargah Chattargam, Imam Bargah Yagipora Magam, Imam Bargah Gamdu Sumbal Sonwari, and Sumbal Nougam in Bandipora district. Arbaeen-related congregations were also held in Baramulla, Pulwama, and Anantnag districts.(KNS)
