Srinagar, 19 May (KNS) All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of Jasbir Singh legendary Sikh community builder of historical gurudwaras and langar hall all over the country, better known as Baba Beera ji. The Committee has termed the death of Baba Beera as an irreparable loss to the Sikh community.

In a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), APSCC Chairman, Jagmohan Singh Raina said that Baba Beera always worked for the community as a whole and was instrumental in constructing Gurdwaras across the country. Raina said Gurdwaras like the Chatti Padshahi-Rainawari, Gurdwara-Kalampora, Gurdwara Sialkote-Baramulla were constructed by Baba Beera ji adding that in addition many other historical buildings were constructed by him.

“Baba Beera rendered selfless service towards the community and was always busy in the construction of Gurdwaras. He was a pious and spirituality personality whose services will be remembered for ages to come. He shunned all the worldly pleasures and devoted himself to the construction of Gurdwaras across the length and breadth of the country,” said Raina.

The APSCC Chairman said that besides constructing Gurdwaras in Jammu & Kashmir Baba Beera constructed Gurdwaras in Assam, Patna and many other parts of the country. He said that Baba Beera was a role model for the youth of the community and would always inspire others to work for the betterment of the community.

“Despite being a professional engineer Baba Beera gave up everything and worked tirelessly for the community. His contribution towards the community by building the Gurdwaras is great and speaks volumes about his selfless service. He got associated with Baba Harbans Singh Ji Kar Sewa Wale and played his part by constructing Gurdwaras in different parts of country,” said Raina.

Other APSCC leaders who paid rich tributes to Baba Beera included Principal Naranjan Singh, Sant Singh, Ajeet Singh Mastana, Davinder Singh, Dr. Jaipal Singh, ZEO Hukumat Singh, Dr. Joginder Singh Shan, Master Kuldeep Singh and others.(KNS)
