Srinagar, Mar 27 (KNS):  Jammu Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) today staged protest across Jammu Kashmir Government on Saturday against recently introduced Geology and Mining policy.
According to reports, many of its leaders, activists were placed under house arrest before protests.

Senior leader and Chief Spokesman JKAP Javid Hassan Beigh, General Secretary Muntazir Mohidin and other senior workers were placed under house arrest and were barred from venturing out of their residencies.
However JKAP leaders protested in  Pantha Chowk area of Srinagar against new Geology and Mining policy.
 “Government didn't allow the protests at many places, however  protests are going on at many places. In Sharabad the protest was led by our block president Mohd Yousuf says, Ghulam Hassan Mir, Vice President Apni Party.
Apni Party led by Altaf Bukhari is demanding rollback of existing geology and mining policy in Jammu and Kashmir.
APNI Party Provincial President Kashmir  Ashraf Mir also staged a protest demonstration in Pantha Chowk area of Srinagar, seeking rollback of geology and mining policy.
"Locals don't find any representation in the allotment of mining contracts. Outside contractors have been illegally alloted contracts," he said while taking to reporters during a protest rally.
 Chadoora budgam
Apni Party Members also held a peaceful protest in Chadoora near tehsil office led by  Ghulam  Nabi Namthali,  prof. Gh Mohd Paul and Mohd Maqbool Sogami.

It is pertinent to mention here that Altaf Apni Party had called for protests across Jammu and Kashmir against the Geology and Mining policy.(KNS)
