Provide adequate ex-gratia to the families of deceased and the injured: Ghulam Hassan Mir

Srinagar, Jan 01 (KNS): A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party leaders led by former Cabinet Minister and Party Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir on Saturday visited Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital to enquire about the condition of the wounded who sustained injuries in stampede incident at Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine today in the wee hours.

He was also accompanied by Party General Secretary Vikram Malhotra, Party Leader Arun K Chibber, State Vice President Youth Wing Raqeeq Khan, State Coordinator Youth Outreach & Capacity Building Program Tari Mohi-ud-din, Provincial Youth Wing President Vipul Bali and ST Wing Provincial President Shabir Kohli.

Speaking to the media, Ghulam Hassan Mir termed the incident as extremely unfortunate while extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. He also demanded that the administration should provide adequate ex-gratia to them.

“Our profound solidarity goes out to the families of the deceased pilgrims and injured in this hour of sorrow. Apni Party is ready to provide necessary assistance wherever required for the treatment of the injured. Besides, we pray for eternal peace to the departed souls and forbearance to the families to bear these irreparable losses,” he said. (KNS)
