APHC(M) expresses anguish, sorrow over the HMT killings

Srinagar 31 December 2020 (KNS): All Parties Hurriyat Conference(M) expressed deep sorrow and anguish at the killing of three youth Zubair , Ajaz and Athar one of them a teenager, by the forces at lawaypora . The families of the youth who protested the killing outside the Police Control Room (PCR) Srinagar , allege that the three were innocent youth who had left their homes only a earlier, for matters related to their education.

In a statement issued to KNS reads, The grandfather of slain Ajaz said to the media that he hed tea with his grandson that morning and alleged that Ajaz was dragged out of the car on his way to srinagar and shot dead.

APHC said that such gruesome killings are heart wrenching . What is worst is that even the dead bodies of these boys were not given to their families for last rites.

APHC said that these dubious encounters mostly involving the youth, routinely take place in J&K as their is no accountability for such killings.

APHC said that such incidents warrant a fair and impartial probe be held , as the families of the killed youth are demanding , to get to the truth but in Kashmir this basic right to justice and redressal is a distant dream .

APHC said anyone who raises his voice to protest these violations of human rights or asks for the resolution of the conflict that triggers it is coerced into silence and put behind bars . Thousands of Kashmiri youth , politicians traders journalists lawyers civil society members and random Kashmiris are in jails throughout India or under house detentions for this “crime “.

APHC said that rights Organizations everywhere should seek an end to these injustices and raise their voice to demand of the Government of India to release all Kashmiri political prisoners being held arbitrarily and by use of force in jails and under house detentions .
