Srinagar July 04 (KNS) : Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Monday stated that any move aimed at disempowering the incumbent JKPCC Chief G.A Mir and installing any turncoat politician is going to prove calamitous for the party at this crucial juncture.
“It is going to be akin to militating against the wishes and aspirations of the party cadres across Jammu and Kashmir if any action is taken that would replace G.A. Mir with any other person in the party. The fact is that it will prove lethal for party’s growth during the prevalent times of political crises pervasive in the state,” Kadfeen said.
According to a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), The Congress leader added that Mr Mir acted as a bulwark against the challenges the party faced at plethora of times and he remained at the fore front, negotiating the rough patches, navigating the party through treacherous terrains and making it a viable political force to reckon with. Now, said Kadfeen, when things within the JK Congress are subtly falling in line, there are elements waiting in the wings within the party’s rank and file to perturb its strength and undermine its relevance.
“The undeniable fact remains that it is only Ghulam Ahmad Mir who possesses the impeccable will and determination to sail the ship to the shore amid the ongoing tempestuous waves of chaos and uncertainty. Undermining this leader at present time will be seditious to the soul of each and every congress man who believes in the basic ideology of the party. Any paratrooper will meet with strong resentment and such decision will have inexplicable risks and no rewards,” Kadfeen said.
According to the Congress leader when the party was passing through the rough patches, it was G.A. Mir who got the bruises onto himself and made strenuous efforts in keeping the cadre intact and alive. “Now when Mr Mir’s acumen and astuteness is needed the most, he cannot be consigned to oblivion. This man must be empowered so that he taken fight the communal forces, uphold party’s principles and ideology and defeat the nefarious miscreants with impeccable will and determination. Inviting paratroopers who were specatating on the stands when party needed them most will be fraught with very dangerous consequences,” Kadfeen said.(KNS)
