Srinagar, May 15 (KNS): The Block Development Officer in Qalamabad area of Langate in Kupwara district today imposed fine of rupees one thousand on shopkeepers fur using polythene which has been banned in the State.
According to KNS Correspondent Raja Akbar, BDO Mushtaq Ahmad while launching an anti-polythene drive in the area collected the fine from the violators and informed people about the negative impact of use of polythene on environment.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Earlier the BDO flagged off anti-polythene awareness march which was attended by hundreds of people from the area. (KNS)
