Srinagar,21 May (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman Sharie Shian President Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safavi have welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire in Gaza as an 11-day crisis has left at least 232 Palestinians dead in Israeli airstrikes.

In a statement issued to Kashmir news service (KNS), Aga Hassan said, Israel in pursuance of its agenda of expanding its occupation across Palestine has breached all international laws and has been escalating violence in occupied territories and Israel’s ambition of establishing Greater Israel is posing threat to the whole world.

Aga Hassan urged United Nation Security Council to Implement a UN resolution for the establishment of an independent and contiguous Palestinian State with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, imperative.

As such implementation will guarantee justice and human rights in adherence to international laws and commitments. 

“We call on the International organisation to play their historic role in resolving this humanitarian issue.” Aga Hassan concluded.(KNS)
