Srinagar, July 05 (KNS): A high-level meeting of the Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian was convened on Sunday at Arah Bal, Shalimar, to undertake a comprehensive review of the arrangements for the Central Zuljanah Procession scheduled for 25th Muharram. The meeting, chaired by Hujjat-ul-Islam Aga Syed Mujtaba Abbas Mousavi Al-Safavi, witnessed extensive deliberations on traffic regulation, security, medical facilities, sanitation, and volunteer deployment to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the procession marking the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (A.S.).
Addressing the gathering, Aga Syed Mujtaba emphasized that the legacy of Hazrat Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (A.S.) serves as a beacon of patience and steadfastness for the Muslim Ummah. He asserted that the teachings of the Ahlul Bayt (A.S.) are pivotal in guiding the community towards unity and resilience in contemporary times.
In a significant announcement, Aga Syed Mujtaba declared that a grand mourning congregation will be organized on July 9 at the Markazi Imambara Budgam to pay homage to the Martyred Supreme Leader, Grand Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei (RA). He paid glowing tributes to the late leader, stating that his entire life was dedicated to the service of Islam, the dignity of the Ummah, and the defense of the oppressed.

The meeting strongly condemned the confiscation of the passport of the President of the Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal Muslimeen Aga Syed Hassan Mousavi Al-Safavi, at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. The participants termed the action as a serious affront to the religious sentiments of millions in Jammu and Kashmir and a violation of the principles of religious freedom, demanding immediate intervention from the concerned authorities.
Expressing appreciation for the successful observance of Ashura processions in Srinagar and Budgam, Aga Syed Mujtaba lauded the exemplary discipline and sincerity of the mourners and volunteers. He expressed confidence that the same spirit of devotion and unity would be reflected during the Shalimar procession. He also appealed to elegy reciters, mourning groups, and social organizations to extend full cooperation, urging the general public to maintain peace and harmony to uphold the sanctity of the religious gathering.
