Anjuman pays rich tribute to Dr Marghoob Banihali

Srinagar, Apr 28 (KNS): Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam has expressed deep grief over the demise of a prominent writer, poet, intellectual and former professor at the University of Kashmir, Dr Marghoob Banihali.

Paying rich tributes to Dr Marghoob Banihali for his invaluable contribution towards Kashmiri, Urdu and Persian language and literature, the Anjuman on behalf of the institution and its incarcerated president  Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq expressed heartfelt condolence and solidarity with the bereaved family of Dr Marghoob Banihali especially the deceased’s son Dr Mushtaq Marghoob. It also prayed for Jannat-ul-Firdous to Dr Marghoob Banihali and forbearance to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.

Meanwhile, the Anjuman also expressed grief over the demise of the wife of one of its well-wishers late Er Ghulam Rasool Baba resident of Hawal near Islamia College. It also expressed sorrow over the demise of the wife of late Munshi Abdul Aziz of Hawal.

Expressing condolence and solidarity with both Baba and Munshi families, the Anjuman prayed for Jannat-ul-Firdous to the departed souls and strength to the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss.(KNS)
