Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam condoles demise of renowned scholar Moulana Syed Rabi Hasan Nadvi

Srinagar, Apr 15 (KNS): Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam, on behalf of the institution and its incarcerated Chairman Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, has expressed deep grief over the demise of the renowned Islamic scholar Moulana Syed Muhammad Rabi Hasan Nadvi, who was the President of All India Muslim Personal Law Board and also the head of the world-renowned religious institution Darul Uloom Nadwat-ul-Ulama, Lucknow.

In its condolence statement, the Anjuman said that from the time of its previous presidents, the Mufassir-e-Qur’an Mirwaiz Moulana Muhammad Yusuf Shah, Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq, to the current Mirwaz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, the sincere academic, religious and da'wa relations with the great personalities and elders of Nadwa, especially the Mufakkir-e-Islam Hazrat Ali Mian Nadvi and Moulana Rabi Nadvi are unforgettable in every way.

The Anjuman paid rich tribute to Moulana Rabi Nadvi for his lifelong educational, teaching, literary, reformative, dawah and milli services and expressed condolence and solidarity with Darul Uloom Nadwat-ul-Ulama and the family members in Rai Bareli. It prayed for Jannat-ul-Firdous to the deceased Moulana.

Meanwhile, the Anjuman expressed deep grief over the demise of Muhammad Muzaffar Sheikh of Nowshehra, who was the brother-in-law of Abdul Majeed Khan of Sadrabal – a close friend and a well-wisher of the Mirwaiz family. The Anjuman expressed condolence and solidarity with the Khan and Sheikh families and prayed for Jannat-ul-Firdous to the departed soul.(KNS)
