Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam, Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir express condolence with Moulana Ghulam Muhammad Vastanvi

 
Srinagar, Mar 13 (KNS): Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam Srinagar has expressed deep sorrow and shock over the demise of Hafiz Muhammad Ishaq Sahib, eputy Head of Jamia Isha'at-ul-Uloom Akkalkuwa, Maharashtra. 
 
In a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a spokesperson said that Hafiz Ishaaq Sahib was the younger brother of Moulana Ghulam Muhammad Vastanvi, former Superintendent of Darul Uloom Deoband and founder of hundreds of madrassas in Gujarat.
 
Anjuman on behalf of the institution and its incarcerated Chairman Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq has expressed heartfelt condolence with the bereaved family especially Moulana Ghulam Muhammad Vastanvi and paid rich tributes to Hafiz Muhammad Ishaaq Sahib.
 
It also hailed the immense contribution of Moulana Vastanvi saying his services in laying the groundwork for hundreds of academic institutions in Gujarat and equipping the children of the weaker and backward classes with the light of education is not only unforgettable but also worthy of imitation.
 
“It is noteworthy that the elders of the Mirwaiz Family had close, religious, scholarly and cordial relations with Darul Uloom Deoband and its affiliated institutions and personalities. In this context, when the present Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq visited Deoband and Delhi on the invitation of late Moulana Anzar Shah Sahib Kashmiri and the administration of Darul Uloom, there were several meetings with the renowned scholars and personalities including Moulana Ghulam Muhammad Vastanvi during which he became aware of his services across India.”
 
Anjuman offered condolences to Moulana Vastanvi and other members of his family and prayed for Jannat-ul-Firdous to Hafiz Muhammad Ishaq Sahib. (KNS)
