Anjuman-i- Auqaf Jama Masjid greets Muslims on Me’raj-un-Nabi (SAW)

Srinagar, Feb 28 (KNS): Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar has extended heartfelt greetings to the Muslims of the subcontinent as well as the entire Jammu and Kashmir on the occasion of Me’raj-un-Nabi – the revolutionary and great miracle of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

In a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Anjuman said that according to the tradition of the centuries-old Mirwaizeen-e-Kashmir, the special ceremony of the Shabe-e-Me’raj which was used to be held at the historic Aali Masjid, Eidgah, like past two years, this year too, it could not be possible due to the continued detention of Mirwaiz Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq since 5 August 2019.

“This is sad and unfortunate in every way and a matter of concern for the people of Kashmir. On behalf of the organisation and incarcerated Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, we extend sincere greetings to the Muslim World in general and the Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir in particular on the occasion of Me’raj-un-Nabi (SAW),” reads the statement.

It reads that the great practical event of the Me’raj of the Prophet (SAW) and the unparalleled miracle is in fact a revolution of human thought and consciousness.

Anjuman said that this event instigated the element of quest for knowledge and research in the world which gave mankind courage to reach stars, moon and outer space.For the thinking minds and alert brains there are so many messages hidden in this event,” it said.

It reads that Me’raj is a practical miracle of the Prophet of Mercy (SAW), which will be celebrated as a memorial till the Day of Resurrection, and new areas of thought and vision will continue to emerge from it. (KNS)
