Srinagar, Oct 11 (KNS): Muharram processions continue on 9th Muharram throughout the valley organized by J&K Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian. President Aga Syed Hassan Almosvi Alsafvi could not partake in any procession of Muharram-ul-Haraam due to his house arrest.
In a statement issued to KNS, terming Aga Hassan’s house arrest with religious intervention, Anjuman-e-Sharie spokesman declared that the largest Muharram Procession of Ashura will be taken out from Migund Budgam with traditional glory despite unclear policy of State Administration.
He added that historic Ashura procession will be taken out from Abi Guzar Lal Chowk Srinagar despite ban.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
During processions on 9th Muharram, mourners chant slogans against Indian oppression in Kashmir and repeated renewed commitment for strengthening of freedom movement till achievement of goals.
Despite curfew and restrictions in Gawkadal Srinagar, procession of Alm-e-Sharief was taken out by mourners which later culminated peacefully. Certain members of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front participated in the procession. (KNS)
