Srinagar, Sep 13 (KNS): Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar has expressed grief over the demise of the wife of Khawaja Ghulam Mohiuddin Banday, the Mutawali and Sajadah Nisheen of Asaar-e-Sharif Dargah Hazratbal Srinagar.
The Anjuman on behalf of the organisation and its incarcerated Chairman Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq expressed condolence and solidarity with the Banday family, especially Khawaja Ghulam Mohiuddin Banday Sahib, and paid tribute to the deceased, terming her a pious lady
The Anjuman expressed deep regret that Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, despite being a close neighbour and having very close religious and social relations with the Banday family, could not attended the funeral prayers of the deceased and personally express condolence with the bereaved family, due to his house arrest which is condemnable
Meanwhile, the Anjuman expressed condolences with the bereaved members of the Banday family including Muhammad Ashraf Banday, Javed Jeelani and Amanullah Banday and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant Jannat-ul-Firdous to the departed soul and forbearance to the bereaved family members to bear the irreparable loss.(KNS)
