Srinagar, Mar 13 (KNS): Awami National Conference (ANC) on Friday welcomed the release of NC president Dr Farooq Abdullah but simultaneously urged authorities to come up with further relaxations and release all political leaders in order to make atmosphere conducive for political activities in J&K.
According to statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), ANC welcomed the decision of authorities who revoked detention order of former Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“Dr Farooq’s release is a welcome step but simultaneously government should release all political leaders who had been taken into custody since August 2019”, statement said.
“If government is willing to make soil of J&K conducive for political exercises, then it is indispensable for authorities to release all caged leaders who are still languishing in jails and sub-jails”, statement further said. (KNS)
