Srinagar, Aug 15 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Awami National Conference President Begum Khalida Shah has expressed her deepest condolences to Mian Altaf, Mian Sarfaraz and their family on the sad demise of their father Hazrat Mian Bashir Larvi. 

In a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), she said that it is a very sad day for her when she looks back to the family association from her late mother Begum Akbar Jehan with the departed spiritual and religious leader that started from the late 40’s.

The ANC president stated that the role and services of the departed leader in shaping the future of the downtrodden community and his struggle towards achieving that goal gave him a revered position throughout Jammu and Kashmir, which can never be forgotten. 

"He was there for everyone in need and his selfless contributions towards the society are benchmarks laid down for others to follow. We lost a great personality. I pray to the Almighty for according Jannat Ul Firdous to Mian Sahib and strength to his family and the community at large in bearing this irreparable loss," reads the statement. (KNS)
