Srinagar, Oct 2 (KNS): J&K Awami National Conference on Thursday paid rich tributes to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, on his birth anniversary.

The party recalled his enduring message of peace, truth, and non-violence, describing him as an eternal source of inspiration for generations.

The ANC also highlighted a rare archival photograph from Gandhi’s only visit to Kashmir in 1947. In the image, he is seen with Begum Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah and ANC President Begum Khalida Shah, a moment that underlines Gandhi’s deep connect with the people of the Valley during a historic phase of India’s freedom struggle.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Leaders of the ANC reiterated that Gandhi’s ideals remain relevant in today’s times of political uncertainty, right wing dominance and social divides.

They stressed that his philosophy of non-violence, brotherhood and communal harmony continues to be the guiding light for India’s unity and democratic values.(KNS)
