ANC core group meets ahead of tomorrow’s PAGD’s meeting

inagar, Aug 23 (KNS): ANC senior vice-president Muzzafar Shah Monday held a meeting of the ANC core group at the party headquarters at Srinagar in preparation for the participation in the special session of PAGD called by NC chief and member parliament Dr Farooq Abdullah tomorrow. 

In a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a spokesperson said that the core group held a threadbare discussion on the current political affairs in the State and dwelt at length with the unheard petitions lying before the consideration of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India with regard to the unconstitutional abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A.

It reads that the ANC core group also discussed the unfortunate situation that the people of J&K bear directly due to deterioration in relationship of India and Pakistan that has a direct bearing in the ongoing development of the State at large. 

“The other matters that came under discussion where the deterioration of the law and order situation, massive rise in the unemployment percentage as compare to rest of the Country, the delimitation exercise being carried out in the absence of an elected legislative and legislative council and the restoration of Statehood to Jammu and Kashmir,” it reads.
