Anantnag, Dec 26 (KNS): Anantnag police on Saturday recovered huge consignment of Codiene Phosphate during Naka checking and arrested one person in this connection.

Police official told KNS that on 26-12-2020, during Naka Checking at Oxford Presentation School one suspicious person namely Kaiser Radhid Wani son of Ab Rashid resident of Hardy Shichan Dialgam riding a motorcycle bearing registration number JK 02AL -1879 was stopped. "During searche one bag containing 100 bottles of codiene phosphate were siezed from his possession", he said.

"A case under FIR no. 395 under NDPS Act stands registered in PS Bus Stand Anantnag and investigation taken up", he added.

Meanwhile civil society praised the role of police in eradication of drug menace and other social crimes. (KNS)
