Dr Mirab highlights role of youth in mitigation of road accidents

Srinagar, Aug 05 (KNS): District hospital Anantnag (Islamabad) Mirza Muhammad Afzal Beigh Memorial Hospital Saturday concluded two-day road safety awareness programme.
“The event was kicked off by medical superintendent district hospital Anantnag Dr Majid Mirab. He along with his team distributed about 2000 pamphlets to commuters about safe driving measures to common people,” reads the statement issued to KNS.
It added that Dr Mirab and doctors of various specialties of district hospital Anantnag (Islamabad) hospital visited to various educational, social and religious institutions and distributed information, education and communication material among public.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“The hospital authorities also held awareness seminar in collaboration with Government Degree College (boys). The main aim of the seminar was to make students about how to assist and rescue a road traffic victim, and how to drive safely,” it reads.
During seminar, Dr Majid Mirab in his inaugural Address highlighted the role of youth and children in mitigation of road accidents.
Indian Orthopedics Doctors Association is observing Bone and Joint Week from 1 August to 7 August 2018. This year the main theme of the week is road safety. (KNS)
