Srinagar, July 25 (KNS): With imposing strict curfew in several South Kashmir districts, the state administration on Tuesday foiled the Anantnag chalo march called by the separatist leadership.
The separatist leaders including Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik had called for Anantnag chalo march.
Authorities had decided to impose strict curfew to prevent the march.
Sources said besides restrictions in Srinagar, Kupwara, Sopore and Baramulla, strict curfew would remain in force in South Kashmir districts including Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian and Pulwama districts.
Meanwhile, strict curfew and communication clampdown continue on 17th day in Kashmir Valley.
