Bandipora, Oct 14 (KNS): The 38th two-day annual literary conference of Adbee Markaz Kamraz Jammu and Kashmir (AMK) began here in North Kashmir’s Bandipora District on Saturday afternoon.
Adbee Markaz Kamraz J&K is the state’s oldest and largest literary organisation which is organising its 38th annual Literary Conference here in Wular Valley College of Education Papchan Bandipora from today.
The conference being hosted by Literary Forum Bandipora and will conclude on 15th October Sunday.
On the first day it saw participation of galaxy of writers, poets, scholars, teachers and students who arrived here from across the state and participated in the mega event.
The two-day conference began with its inaugural session this afternoon and was presided over by Kashmir’s poet and broadcaster Farooq Nazki.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
A special number of Prav journal on late writer and scholar Professor Mohiu-Din Hajini was also released and this year’s conference has been dedicated to Hajni.
The portraits of Atiqa Bano and Mohammad Ahsan Ahsan were part of the function.
Prominent writers and intellectuals paid rich and emotional tribute to late AMK senior vice-president, educationist and heritage lover Atiqa Bano (Bhenji) for the services she has rendered in preserving the culture, heritage and bringing up the community of unrepresented women across the State.
The participants will spent their night at the venue and the conference will conclude on Sunday. The participants have hailed the efforts of AMK for organising the event. (KNS)
