Amit Shah Hails Major Anti-Naxal Operation, 27 Maoists Killed in Chhattisgarh


New Delhi, May 21 (KNS): Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, on Tuesday said that security forces achieved a landmark success in the fight against Naxalism by neutralizing 27 dreaded Maoists, including Nambala Keshav Rao, alias Basavaraju, the general secretary of CPI-Maoist, during an operation in Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh.

In a post on X, the Home Minister applauded the bravery of security personnel and agencies for what he described as a major breakthrough.

“This is the first time in three decades of the country's battle against Naxalism that a general secretary-ranked leader has been neutralized by our forces,” Shah stated.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He further informed that following the completion of Operation Black Forest, 54 Naxalites have been arrested and 84 have surrendered across Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Maharashtra.

Amit Shah reaffirmed the government's commitment to eliminating Naxalism, declaring that the Modi government is determined to wipe out the menace before March 31, 2026.(KNS)
