Srinagar, Apr 30 (KNS): Lashing out on BJP president Amit Shah for asking his party colleagues and Ministers of the state cabinet to focus on Jammu and Ladakh regions of the state for electoral gains in the next assembly election, Senior National Conference leader and former Legislative Council Member Dr Bashir Ahmad Veeri on Sunday said that Amit Shah has exposed BJP’s biased mindset viz-a-viz Kashmir.
“BJP President Amit Shah has exposed the party plan of discriminating & isolating the Kashmir region on all front including development by asking state party leadership and Ministers representing BJP in cabinet to focus on Jammu and Ladakh,” Dr Veeri said in a statement to KNS.
He said that plan of regional discrimination towards Kashmir has been drafted in New Delhi by BJP after taking alliance partner PDP into confidence just to muzzle the genuine political sentiment of Kashmiris.
Dr Veeri said that under the same plan BJP just for securing political points in the rest of the country, is playing vital role in keeping the Kashmir situation volatile.
“Just for electoral gains elsewhere in the country, BJP is unfortunately portraying Kashmiri Muslim youth as Pakistani agents and their killing is not only being justified but projected as revenge to Pakistan which is dangerous political gimmick and trend,” he added.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said that under a well thought plan with designed target, Kashmiris Muslim Youth are being killed and harassed and being pushed towards the cannons of militancy.
“Police in South Kashmir generally & in Bijbehara particularly has farmed a list of innocent youth and they are being repeatedly harassed. The number of these youth in Village Waghama is sixty & hundreds in other villages and administration is exploring extreme options for arresting them during nocturnal raids,” he said and expressed deep concern over the development.
Asking political leadership of the state particularly of Kashmir region across political spectrum to stand United against communal agenda of BJP.
Dr Veeri said that BJP is pushing two nuclear country to war by not initiating dialogue process for reconciliation. “The nuclear war will have disastrous consequences not only for South Asia but for the entire world,” he pointed out.
“For a moment, secular leadership of the state needs to shun the ideological differences if they have compassion and sympathy towards the people and must counter the communal agenda of BJP, for preserving interests of the state”, Dr Veeri said. (KNS)
