Amit Shah arriving Jammu today to review flood situation

Jammu, Aug 31(KNS): Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah will visit Jammu on a two-day trip starting August 31 to assess the situation following recent heavy rains, flash floods, landslides, and soil erosion across the division, which have claimed around 170 lives, including over 130 pilgrims of Machail Mata and Vaishno Devi.

A senoir BJP leader told KNS that, Shah is scheduled to arrive in Jammu on today evening at and will proceed directly to Raj Bhawan for an overnight stay.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

On September 1, 2025, he will conduct an aerial survey of flood-affected areas at 10:45 am. This will be followed by a review meeting on flood relief measures at Raj Bhawan at 11:30 am.

During the visit, Shah will be accompanied by senior officers from the Ministry of Home Affairs. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and top officials of the J&K administration and security agencies will brief him on rescue, relief, and restoration operations.(KNS).
