Srinagar, Sep 01 (KNS): Amid unrest the land grabbers have encroached big patches of a vast area of greenbelt at Narkara Budgam and the green belt land occupied for the construction of a hospital is catching the eye of land grabbers at GoGo in Humhama area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Top sources while disclosing this to KNS revealed that amid unrest a vast green belt area has been encroached by land grabbers at Narkara in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Though land grabbers, according to sources, have raised some concrete structure on this areas. The illegal grabbing and encroachment of this vast green belt area is yet to catch the attention of district administration Budgam told KNS “ It is a fact that land grabber are trying to occupy some green belt area at Narkara but we will contemplate stringent action against the land grabbers and encroachers in the Narkara area”.
Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation Bashir Ahmad Khan when contacted told KNS “A team of Srinagar Municipal Corporation will visit the green belt area in Narakara areas where the encroachers are raising illegal structures.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelAny illegal structures found in the area will be demolished immediately”.
Meanwhile sources have also revealed to KNS that an area of green belt areas acquired by the health department at Gogo in Humhama area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district during the reign of Gh Nabi Azad led Congress-PDP coalition government is catching the attention of some land grabbers, but government is yet to start the work on construction of a hospital building in the area.
Director Health Services Kashmir Dr Saleem U Rehman when contacted told KNS “We are very much aware of the situation. We have take over the possession of 42 kanals of greenbelt land for the construction of a hospital building at Gogo Budgam. I will immediately take up the issue with the higher authorities and start the construction of the hospital building in the area. No encroacher will be allowed to touch even an inch of the land occupied legally by health department for the construction of a hospital in the area”. (KNS)
