JKLF to hold condolence meet on April 30

Srinagar, Apr 28 (KNS): Founder leader of Kashmiri resistance, ideologue and supreme leader of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation front (JKLF), Amanullah Khan was Thursday laid to rest at Eidgah Gilgit in presence of thousands of people with wet eyes.
In a statement issued to KNS, JKLF spokesman said that the corpse of the great soul who died on 26th April 2016 was taken to Gilgit in a rally from Rawalpendi in which thousands of his admirers participated with passion. “This caravan consisted of hundreds of vehicles and motor cycles. On reaching Gilgit, the corpse of the deceased leader was taken to EidGah Gilgit where funeral prayers were offered,” spokesman said.
He said that thousands of people with wet eyes along with Chief Minister Hafiz Hafizur Rehman and other dignitaries of Gilgit, Sardar Ateek Khan (Ex- Prime Minister of AK), Inayatullah Gilgiti (chairman Gilgit Baltistan national Alliance), Mushtaq Ahmad (Ameer Jamat I islami, ) and others participated in funeral prayers. JKLF leaders Haq Nawaz, Aabid Gilgiti, Doctor Toqeer, Rafiq Ahmad Dar and Muhammad Saleem Haroon were also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile news of funeral prayers in absentia and other condolence meetings for the deceased leader are coming in from various parts of the world.
In Birmingham London Kashmiris in large numbers offered funeral prayers in absentia and held a condolence meeting. Funeral prayers were also held at Karachi press club also in which Kashmiris in large numbers participated and prayed for the departed soul. Same programs were held in Saudi Arabiya, UAE and many cities of Pakistan including Lahore, and Islamabad.
Condolence programs were also held at many cities of Azad Kashmir including Muzafarabad, Rawlakot, Chikoti, Bagh, Mirpor etc. at Kashmir University, Islamic university and central university students held condolence meetings in which late leader and ideologue was remembered with honour.
“People from all walks of life today visited JKLF office at Abi Guzar and expressed condolences with JKLF.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelPolitical leaders, social activists, students and people from other walks of life were among those who came to JKLF office,” spokesman said.
Among those who visited JKLF office included NF chief Nayeem Ahmad Khan, APDP chief Parveena Ahanagar, Moulana Reyaz Ahmad Shah (brother of Shaheed Showkat Ahmad Shah), Abdul Rashid of mass movement, President chamber of commerce Mushtaq Ahmad and general secretary Faiz Bakhshi, delegations from traders, students of universities and colleges etc.
It is worth to mention that a congregational condolence meeting will be held at JKLF office Abi Guzar on 30th April 2016, Saturday in which tributes will be paid to the deceased leader. The meeting will start at 10:30 pm and will be concluded after Salat ul Asr.
It is also worth to note many JKLF seniors including Bashir Ahmad Rather (Boya), Muhammad Ishaaq Ganaiee, Nazir Ahmd Rather, Nazir Ahmad Raina have been arrested by police and have been detained in various police stations.
Meanwhile JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik has paid rich tributes to martyrs of famous Shalbaf Tehreek during which more than 28 artisans and shawl Makers were brutally killed by Hindu Maharaja Army in Srinagar.
While paying tributes to martyrs, JKLF chief said that this massacre reminds us that Kashmiris always resisted tyranny and occupation and always stood firm for independence of their nation.
Meanwhile JKLF has paid rich tributes to its martyr Muhammad Haneef Aamir who embraced martyrdom in 1991. A delegation of JKLF comprising of advocate Bashir Ahmad butt, Engineer Ghulam Rasool Dar Eidi, Siraj ud din Mir and professor Javed visited the residence of Shaheed Aamir and expressed solidarity with them.
JKLF chairman has also expressed his heartfelt condolences at the sad demise of veteran JKLF activist Sabir Ahmad Ganiee (Chacha) of Kulgam who breathed his last today. JKLF chairman paid rich tributes to the deceased and expressed condolences to his bereaved family. (KNS)
