Baramulla 04 May (KNS): Amid the surge in Covid cases, Border Roads Organization Beacon's 53 RCC is going to conduct a Covid awareness campaign in north Kashmir's Uri sector.

The awareness campaign kick-started Today with a cycle expedition which starts from Kaman Post up to Project Beacon HQ Srinagar, a Beacon official Told Kashmir News Service (KNS)

He added that the aim of the expedition is to create awareness about safeguarding measures against Covid pandemic among villagers and urbanites en route. 

Day ist: the Covid awareness drive commenced at 0909 hrs from Kaman Post giving out the message to the general public to stay safe by using a mask, wash hands with alcohol-based sanitizers and maintaining social distancing. He said

The expeditions first hault was at Red Bridge, Isham village wherein a Medical Camp was organised by the medical team of 53 RCC and No of masks, sanitizers were distributed to the locals and the medical representatives also motivated people to fight the Covid virus by maintaining proper social distancing and ensuring use of masks and sanitizers. He added 

While adding more to KNS officials said the expedition will reach today Mohura where one road safety seminar is organized tomorrow and the cycle expedition will progress to Srinagar from there with their motto of Covid Awareness. (KNS)
