Amid Heat wave Audoora, Mawer residents without drinking water


Srinagar, July 26 (KNS): Amid heat wave the residents of Audoora village of Mawer Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district are without drinking water and the concern department is watching as mute spectator.
According to Kashmir News Service Correspondent the residents of Mir Mohalla, Bunpora, ,Dar Mohalla and Jamia Masjid are without drinking water since twenty one days.
The residents of the area told that they have informed the concern official several times but they are playing step-mother role to a particular area.

Altaf Ahmad a resident of Mir Mohalla told KNS they are being forced to drink contaminated water which poses them threat of water borne diseases.

He further said that they have called the concerned AEE several times and he assured that the water supply in the area will be restored but despite passing several days no steps has been taken to restore the water supply in the area.

They have appealed the authorities to restore the water supply in the area at earliest.
Meanwhile when KNS contacted to Executive Engineer PHE Divsion Handwara Zubair Ahmad he assured that the water supply in the area will be restored soon (KNS)
