Says curfew to be lifted soon if situation remain peaceful

Srinagar, Nov 05 (KNS): As curfew remain in force in Kishtwar district for the fifth consecutive day, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana on Monday said that the situation during the relaxation period in last five days 'remained peaceful'.
DC Kishtwar told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that he along with other higher officials is reviewing the situation on daily basis, saying that the situation here has remained peaceful so far.
Rana said that the administration is giving relaxation on daily basis and so far, the situation across the district has remained under control.
"We will give relaxation on Tuesday too and in case the situation continue to remain peaceful, then the curfew will be lifted soon," he said, adding that they have not decided to lift the curfew in the district o far but it will be considered soon if the situation remains peaceful.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He added that people are quite friendly with each other "but precautions have to be taken to maintain law and order."
Meanwhile, he said that SIT formed to probe the killing is on job and they will submit the report soon.
Pertinently, on November 1, BJP leader and his brother were killed by the gunmen in Tappal Gali area, following which an indefinite curfew was imposed in parts of Kishtwar and Doda districts. (KNS)
