Amid Covid: SKICC hosts open-air meeting

Srinagar, May 20 (KNS): Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC ) today hoisted maiden open-air meeting.
The meeting was chaired by the advisor to Lietuanant Governer Baseer Ahmed Khan about the Covid response mechanism in place for the UT of J&K and was attended by the stakeholders, allied departments, trade body representatives, civil society voices and tourism trade bodies.
The stakeholders appreciated the efforts of the Govt’s COVID response management and gave suggestions for the improvement and effectiveness of the measures taken by the Government on the ground.
Director SKICC Bakhshi Humayun Javed termed the meeting as an experiential meeting of tourism initiative and assured to make it more facilitating and delegate friendly with foolproof Covid protocol.’

Manager Marketing SKICC Shahnawaz Ahmed Shah added that it has been their endeavour to understand the dynamics in the MICE Tourism market and cater to the contemporary needs and requirements of the delegates and conference organisers.

SKICC had earlier also set a benchmark when it hosted the first post-pandemic conference by adhering to the Covid protocol norms in the centre which made SKICC an important hub of events post ist wave of pandemic. (KNS)
