Srinagar, Nov 02 (KNS): Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) president Ghulam Hassan Mir has described the Amendment of Municipal Act (whereby the elections of Mayors will be through secret ballot) politically motivated. In a statement issued to KNS, Mir said "State of J&K has reached a place where secret ballot for higher institutions was done away with the intention to avoid cross voting but by this amendment this menace has been encouraged. Governor should have not done this Amendment." (KNS)
