Srinagar, Jun 24 (KNS): Congress leader Altaf Malik hails J&K government’s “Back To Village” initiative and expressed hope that the programme will proved a mile stone for the development and prosperity of rural areas and will bring transparency and accountability at democracy's first step and if the programme will sincerely carry forward will definitely benefit rural populace through welfare schemes.

As the programme started, Altaf himself participated in Gram Sabha held at his native village Achabal where he highlighted the problems confronting to people and urges government to focuses upon rural tourism sports infrastructure besides better road connectivity healthcare drinking water facilities and improvement of LT HT distribution system of power development department.
