Srinagar, June 19: Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari has expressed his concern over the media reports suggesting that the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) has been failing to provide free Kashmiri textbooks to government schools for the past two academic years.

In a statement issued to KNS he said, “It is concerning that the J&K BOSE has failed to provide free Kashmiri textbooks to government schools for the past two academic years, leaving students without basic learning materials for the subject. If the reports in this regard are true, it reflects official neglect. On the one hand, the government boasts about and claims to promote the mother tongue—Kashmiri—which is also one of the official languages of J&K; on the other hand, it fails to provide even the textbooks to primary and middle school students.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He urged the concerned authorities to look into the matter and ensure that the supply of textbooks to government schools is made immediately.

He said, “I urge the concerned authorities to thoroughly investigate the matter and hold those responsible accountable for depriving underprivileged students of essential learning resources. It is imperative that the required textbooks are supplied to government schools without further delay.”
