Srinagar, Nov 03 (KNS): Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Wednesday conveyed his warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Diwali.

In his greetings, Bukhari said that Diwali is called the 'festival of lights' that is believed to ward off evil while filling our lives with positivity, hope and peace.

“Light symbolizes hope and optimism which we need more than ever at this point of time. The economic stagnation due to Covid-19 has agonized our people tremendously but I hope that this festival will usher in an era of prosperity and development in the region,” he said.

He further added that celebrating and wishing each other on these sacred festivals reflects the rich cultural ethos of J&K which will continue to exist for times to come. (KNS)
