Srinagar April 21(KNS): Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Thursday greeted people on Guru Tegh Bahadur Jayanti 2022 or Prakash Parv 2022 which is being celebrated today to mark the birth of the Ninth Guru of Sikhism, Guru Tegh Bahadur. This year marks the 400th year of his birth anniversary.

In his message of greetings, Bukhari said Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji is remembered as the warrior guru, who relentlessly fought for religious freedom. He is known for his thoughts and teachings about humanity, bravery, dignity and more which have been included in Guru Granth Sahib.  

" This day marks the day of courage, humanity, truthfulness and honesty and we all should pledge to come forward and follow the principles based on eradicating human sufferings, helping the downtrodden and standing up for justice. On this day I would pray for peace, harmony and prosperity for the people of Jammu and Kashmir " he said.(KNS)
