Srinagar September 12 (KNS): Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari expressed his grief over the death of noted Islamic scholar Mohammad Shaban Bhat of south Kashmir’s Shopian district. He passed away this morning.

In his condolence message, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari said, “I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing away of Mohammad Shaban Bhat Sahib, a great Islamic scholar and who spend his entire life preaching the teaching of Islam and the word of Allah (SWT) to the people. Also, he played a vital role in enhancing the education sector in south Kashmir, especially in his native district of Shopian. He was respected by one and all in Shopian and elsewhere.”

Apni Party President prayed for peace to the departed soul and much-needed strength to the bereaved to bear the inconsolable loss with fortitude.

He said, “I extend my heartfelt condolences to Bhat Sahib’s son Showket Ahmed Bhat, his nephew Ajaz Ahmed Bhat, and other bereaved family members. May Almighty Allah give them enough strength to bear the pain of this irreparable loss and rest the departed soul in eternal peace.”(KNS)
