SRINAGAR, April 27 (KNS):  Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Tuesday expressed deep shock and grief over the demise of Er. Sheikh Abdul Salam was known for his splendid contributions to the construction of the Hazratbal Shrine. 

Terming the demise as a personal loss, Bukhari said that Er. Abdul Salam shared a special bond with him and was a long term family friend who possessed a meek and unassuming personality.

“His sudden demise is an irretrievable loss for our family. Salam Sahab would always give his valuable suggestions and would guide in important developmental matters during my stint as Minister for Public Works Department. His demise has left a great void hard to be filled,” he said.

He also said that the architectural contributions of Er. Abdul Salam is colossal and he will be remembered for that by generations to come.

In a condolence message issued to KNS, Bukhari expressed his profound solidarity with the bereaved family in this time of distress.

“I pray to Almighty Allah for the eternal peace to departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss,” he prayed.(KNS)
