Srinagar, Dec 19 (KNS): In a brazen violation to the state government policy, the management of Jammu And Kashmir Small Scale Corporation Limited (SICOP) is allegedly employing the retried employees, which has gone unnoticed by the General administration department (GAD) and respective board of directors.
Sources alleged that the SICOP has at least re-employed above five officers who retired on superannuation from the corporation services. “The latest instance has come to light where one general manger Mir who retired on 30 November was re-employed the next very day with all incentives and perks available to him during his active service,” sources told KNS.
One of the insiders alleged that the said retire employee has been re-employed based on a vacuum created on his retirement to complete the pending jobs of administrative matters. “The sad officer has been given the delegation of powers and charge of the same position as was being held by him earlier. It is surprising that the genuine employees who were aspiring for the elevation to the post of the GM have been dropped and ignored with the said dispensation,” alleged one of the employees of divisional office Kashmir.
Another insider alleged that such re-employment cases have also been reported from SICOP Jammu where in, the officers who retired three years back have been granted re-employment with further extensions.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“This entire has been done with the concurrence of the incumbent minister for industries and commerce and commissioner secretary,” said one of the sources.
The PDP-BJP led government had assured to generate employment for the unemployed youth of the state and not to grant reemployment to the retire persons, but it has come contrary to the assurances held out by the state government.
The employees of the sad organization have strongly resenting the move of management as this may affect the salary budget and also affect the promotion prospects of the prospective officers who have a genuine claim for the elevation.
It is pertinent to mention that the corporation has a larger role to play in the building of economic structure of the state by promoting the MSME sector, but as per the civil societies the role of this organization is diluting as they have resorted to the trading and construction works.
As per the data the progress graph has seen a downward trend which resulted in the accumulation of the losses.
When contacted Managing Director SICOP R. L Tikoo he denied the allegation. “This complaint is totally baseless. We have not re-employed any one in our organization. If at all you have any doubt please come to our officer, we will show you all the records,” the MD told KNS. (KNS)
