Kupwara , Nov 19 (KNS) : The District Development Commissioner (DDC)Shrikant Balasaheb Suse of Kupwara has stated that all necessary preparations to deal with the winter season have been completed. According to him, the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir has also reviewed the situation multiple times, while the PWD, PMGSY, and Mechanical Engineering Department have already been issued tenders to ensure timely snow clearance during snowfall.
He added that essential supplies have been dispatched in advance to all snow-bound areas. These include food grains, electricity infrastructure such as transformers, transmission lines, poles, water supply equipment, LPG, kerosene oil, and other necessities.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelIn regions that remain cut off from the district headquarters for several months due to heavy snowfall, ration stores have already been stocked with food and essential commodities.
The DDC further said that all health centers across the district have been equipped with medicines and medical supplies to deal with any emergencies promptly.
He assured that the public will not face any inconvenience during the winter months, as the administration is on high alert and all facilities have been arranged in sufficient quantity. According to him, this year the administration aims to provide a better response compared to previous years.(KNS)
