Pulwama, August 3 (KNS) : All Jammu & Kashmir Shia Association (AJKSA) organised a large-scale Majlis-e-Aza at Gongoo, Pulwama on Sunday, witnessing a deeply spiritual and emotional gathering of mourners. The program began with Marsiya Khawani that continued through the day and culminated in a moving Majlis delivered by AJKSA President Molvi Imran Reza Ansari.

During his address, Molvi Imran reflected on the recent fatwa by Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, issued on 3rd August 2025, advising against placing his photographs on banners during the upcoming Arbaeen Walk in Iraq.

“It has been observed that some political and service-oriented entities are placing photos of His Eminence on their banners and posters displayed in public places, especially along the pedestrian route of Zaireen walking towards Karbala,” he said, quoting the statement.

“The guidance is clear – the walk to Karbala is to honour Imam Hussain (a.s), not individuals. We must preserve its sanctity,” he added.

Speaking on the blessings of Niyaz-e-Imam Hussain, Molvi Imran said it brings barakah into the homes of those who distribute it with sincerity and love.

“Those who prepare and serve Niyaz in Imam Hussain’s name are fulfilling a sacred tradition that carries reward in both worlds,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

“The people of Gongoo opened their homes and hearts to the Azadaars – may Imam Hussain (a.s) bless every family with His intercession,” he prayed.

In his concluding remarks, Molvi Imran spoke of the sacrifices of Bibi Zainab (s.a) and Bibi Sakina (s.a) during the trials in Shaam, saying:

“In the face of tyranny and captivity, Bibi Zainab stood as the voice of Karbala while Bibi Sakina’s innocence reminded the world of the cruelty Yazid inflicted. Their courage is a moral compass for all women in Islam,” he said.

Molvi Imran expressed heartfelt gratitude to the district administration for their cooperation in making the gathering smooth and dignified. He extended thanks to IG Kashmir, SSP Pulwama, DSP Headquarters Pulwama, SHO Pulwama, SHO Kakapora, DC Pulwama, RTO Kashmir and officials from Jal Shakti, KPDCL, CAPD, and Health Department for their proactive support.

“Azadari in Kashmir is a collective duty and its smooth conduct depends on the coordination between the people and administration. I thank every official who stood with the people today,” he added.(KNS)
