Srinagar, Jan 18 (KNS): Peoples’ Democratic Party leader and upper house member Mohammad Khurshid Alam on Wednesday hailed the budget announced recently by finance minister Haseeb Drabu terming it relief for framers, laborers and state employees.
According to KNS correspondent, Alam while participating in a discussion on recently presented budget said same is meant for state’s downtrodden and aimed to end their sufferings that they have been witnessing since long.
He said that insurance cover provided to the state’s farming community as come up as a big relief for them as the community in the past has been bearing the brunt of the climate change and natural disasters.
He said that the labour class in Jammu and Kashmir is the worst exploited lot and the budget has given them a ray of hope to live life of dignity and honor.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe said that the insurance and loan facilities for them would capable enough to look forward for better future of their families and children .
PDP’s Srinagar district president said the implementation of the 7th pay commission for the state government employees is the huge achievement of the present regime and earlier the employees had to take to streets and bear beatings for their rights. Alam further asked the finance minister to announce the system under which the arrears from Jan 2016 to April 2018 shall be given to the state employees.
Alam further demanded waiving of the loans of artisans who have witnessed turbulent times and during the recent unrest and have suffered huge losses. (KNS)
