Srinagar, Feb 07 (KNS): Al-Umar Mujahideen, the militant outfit on Tuesday called for complete shutdown on Feb 9 and 11 on the eve of anniversaries of Muhammad Afzal Guru and Muhammad Maqbool Bhat respectively.
Paying tributes to the Guru and Bhat, Al-Umar chief, Mushtaq Zargar in a tele-statement to KNS said, “I appeal to the people of Kashmir to observe complete shutdown on the anniversaries of Muhammad Afzal Guru and Muhammad Maqbool Butt.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel”
He said, “Only emergency vehicles shall ply on roads on these days.”
Saying that only armed struggle can resolve Kashmir issue, Zargar said, “The long pending Kashmir issue can’t be solved via dialogue. India has forcibly occupied Kashmir and the armed struggle will continue till the presence of Indian forces in Kashmir.” (KNS)
