Srinagar, Mar 29 (KNS): Residents in Aishmuqam are angry with the Anantnag district administration for failing to macadamize the road leading to the shrine is in worst condition.
Locals said that after the Bollywood star Salman Khan’s blockbuster, Bajrangi Baijan was shot here, visitors, both domestic and outside, throng the shrine.
“But the road leading to the shrine is in very worst state and last year when most of the roads were macadamized this patch of 2 kms was neglected,” said Gul Mohd Mir, a local.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Not only locals the taxi drivers who ferry tourists are also unhappy because the road from Aishmuqam Exchange upto Ziarat Sharief via Aainoo is in the worst condition and needs repair.
“The road needs proper quality macdamisation for the convenience of the pilgrim tourists who visit the world famous shrine,” he said.
The locals have appealed the authorities concerned to address their grievance. (KNS)
