New Delhi, June 23 (KNS): In response to the escalating conflict in the Middle East, Air India has announced the suspension of all flight operations over the Gulf region, following Iran’s missile attack on a U.S. airbase in Qatar.
The national carrier said flights to and from the East Coast of North America and Europe have also been halted until further notice due to airspace closures and security concerns.
“Air India-bound flights from North America are returning to their points of origin, while others are being diverted back to India or rerouted around the affected airspace,” a spokesperson said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The airline urged passengers to remain patient, saying the disruption is due to circumstances beyond its control. “Air India is closely monitoring the situation with guidance from external security experts. We will continue to provide updates as the situation evolves,” the statement added.
The airline reaffirmed that the safety and security of its passengers and crew remain its top priority.(KNS)
