Srinagar, Apr 15 (KNS): A team of Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) leaders visited Surinder Block in Arin area of north Kashmir to assess development issues, party officials said.
The team, led by AIP General Secretary (Organisation) Prince Pervaiz, included Mudasir Bashir, PRO to Baramulla MP Engineer Rashid, district president Farooq Ahmad, district youth president Ashiq Hussain, district secretary Umer Gazali, and zonal presidents Manzoor Ahmad and Arif Hussain.
During the visit, the delegation reviewed the status of infrastructure and other civic amenities in the area.
The party claimed that Surinder has seen little development over the past three decades, with only a footpath constructed during this period, alleging neglect by successive elected representatives.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Residents expressed dissatisfaction over the lack of basic facilities and said their concerns remained unaddressed despite repeated assurances during election campaigns, the statement said.
The AIP team assured locals that efforts would be made to address the issues and improve development in the area within the year.
It also said that public awareness and scrutiny of elected representatives have increased, making accountability more important.(KNS).
